Anciela was founded in 2019 by
Colombian and Chilean London-based Designer Jennifer Droguett to pay homage to her cultural heritage. Anciela gets its name from her grandparents, ANgel and GraCIELA.

ANCIELA is the culmination of the Latin folklore and rich experiences of a childhood combined with an outsider's perspective from leaving the homeland and living in London.

Actively supporting diverse Latinx creatives, by using Fashion as a platform to showcase Latin/British culture whilst celebrating the mix throughout different disciplines. Design with sustainability in mind from the beginning of the process, minimising waste practices, upcycling and recycling in the pursuit of longevity and timeless looks. Anciela offers playful tailoring and eccentric Ready-To-Wear interwoven with a hint of the magical whilst celebrating British manufacturing techniques.

Our sustainability practices include ethical sourcing and production, waste management and community-led campaigns.

Fabrics and trims that are locally sourced and collections produced in-house or within the UK; British wools and GOTS organic fabrics from deadstock warehouses are used as base materials, whilst new-wave textiles such as recycled decadent jacquards, hemp, cork and upcycled scraps allow for creative experimentation. 

Our brand has become a platform for inclusivity that combines Latin American and British communities by telling stories that navigate a unique identity in Fashion. We bring new narratives and create awareness of our cultural heritage. As well as supporting causes that go in line with our brand values. We have played an important role in supporting and showcasing young creatives, our casting and crew members are diverse, from different backgrounds, ages and body shapes.
