Sambar was borne out of the idea that veganism and luxury can go hand in hand, and that beautifully made, covetable pieces can be inspired by nature, without hurting it in the process.

Founded by Andrea, Sambar’s debut capsule collection launched in Madrid, 2020. Here, our iconic Roan Midi was released in five colours. Ever since then, we have been releasing new drops only when our limited pieces run out and in exclusive editions. We believe in slow fashion and creating small collections to avoid over-production, over-consumption and pollution.

Made with a sustainable vegan leather sourced from Spain, our signature statement pieces are beautifully handcrafted by local artisans in the hills of Andalucía.

‘Sambar’ is an endangered deer, whose antlers comprise our signature gold closure clasp. At Sambar, we are inspired by this majestic creature who continues to fight for its life despite the loss of its habitat. This is why we chose its name as the symbol of our fight against the unjust treatment of animals. Each handbag also bears the name of a different endangered species.

We source only the best quality, ecologically responsible materials. From organic cotton to post-consumer recycled polyester yarn, made from upcycled marine plastic and post-consumer PET, our handbags leave no footprint.

We know it’s not enough, so we are working hard to give something back. For every handbag, we plant a tree and donate 1% of our profits for endangered animals around the world.
